Prof. Dr. Henry Hu
University of Windsor, Canada
Title: Engineering performance of Mg Hybrid Nanocomposite
Dr. Hongfa (Henry) Hu is a tenured full Professor at Department of Mechanical, Automotive & Materials Engineering, University of Windsor.He received degrees from University of Toronto (Ph.D., 1996), University of Windsor (M.A.Sc., 1991), and Shanghai University of Technology (B.A.Sc., 1985). He was a NSERC Industrial Research Fellow (1995-1997). His publications (over 150 papers) are in the area of magnesium alloys, composites, metal casting, computer modelling, and physical metallurgy. His current research is on materials processing and evaluation of light alloys and composites. His recent fundamental research is focussed on transport phenomena and mechanisms of solidification, phase transformation and dissolution kinetics. His applied research has included development of magnesium automotive applications, cost-effective casting processes for novel composites, and control systems for casting processes. His work on light alloys and composites has attracted the attention of several automotive companies.
Prof. Arcady Zhukov
University of Basque Country, Spain
Title: Advanced functional magnetic microwires for technological applications
Dr. Arcady Zhukov received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Solid State Physics (Chernogolovka) of the Russian Academy of Science, in 2010- Doctor of Science (habilitation) in Moscow State “Lomonosov” University. Present employment (since 2011): Ikerbasque Research professor at the Advanced Polymers and Materials of the University of Basque Country, Spain. He has published more than 600 referred papers in the international journals (total number of citations 10917, Citation H-index 57(WOS)/ 14381 and H=65(Google scholar)). A. Zhukov is included in the ‘Ranking of the World Scientists: World´s Top 2 % Scientists” elaborated by Stanford University based on citations, h-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. A. Zhukov edited conference proceedings, chaired several international conference (Donostia International Conference on Nanoscaled Magnetism (DICNMA), III Joint European Magnetic Symposia, 24th International Symposium on Metastable, Amorphous and Nanostructured Materials (ISMANAM 2017)…),several sessions at various international Conferences, gave more than 100 plenary, keynote or invited talks at various international conferences. He is an associate Editor of IEEE Magnetic letters and International Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems, member of several editorial boards and various committees of International Conferences (MMM, Intermag, joint- MMM-Intermag, MISM, ICSM…). A. Zhukov edited two books: “Novel Functional Magnetic Materials” and “High Performance Soft Magnetic Materials”, wrote two books: “Magnetic properties and applications of ferromagnetic microwires with amorphous and nanocrystalline structure” and “Magnetic sensors based on thin magnetically soft wires with tuneable magnetic properties and its applications”, more than 20 book chapters (including one published in the Handbook of Magnetic Materials ed. by Prof. K. Buschow). In 2000 A. Zhukov fщunded spin-off Company Tamag Iberica S.L. in which he is currently the scientific supervisor.
Assistant Professor Ioannis Spanopoulos

Title: The emergence of porous and water stable metal halide semiconductors
Ioannis Spanopoulos is an Assistant Professor at the Departments of Chemistry and Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering at the University of South Florida, FL and he is the director of the SMMARTT center at USF. Research at the Spanopoulos Group focuses on utilizing molecular and crystal engineering for the design and synthesis of next generation, environmentally stable, and friendly hybrid semiconductors. These materials feature multiple functionalities, targeting applications such as photovoltaics, spintronics, sensing, gas-separation, solid-state batteries, environmental remediation and photo-catalysis. The Group recently reported the new family of water-stable and porous metal halide semiconductors. He has received the 2020 IIN Outstanding Researcher award from the International Institute for Nanotechnology and the 2022 ACS PRF Doctoral New Investigator Research award.
Dr. Alexander Lukin

Title: New Strategy for Improving the Thermionic Energy Conversion Efficiency Through Fine-Tuning Functional Characteristics
of Multilayer Carbyne-Enriched Nano-Enhanced Interfaces
Dr Lukin got a M.S. degree (Rocket Propulsion Engineer) from Izhevsk State Technical University with the Diploma of Excellence (1985) and Ph.D. degree (Phys. & Math.) from the Physics-Technical Institute of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1993). Dr. Lukin was involved in critically-important research programs associated with the development of the solid propulsion systems that support the upper stages of intercontinental ballistic rockets. Dr. Lukin is Associate Fellow and Lifetime Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), International Member of the AIAA Solid Rockets Technical Committee (SRTC); Member of the AIAA United Nations Committee On Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN-COPUOS) Working Group (WG); Member of the International Advisory Committee of the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials (SKLFPM) in Donghua University, Shanghai, China; Professor-Advisor of the Shaanxi Research Institute of Applied Physics-Chemistry, China; Academic Consultant of the North-Western Polytechnic University, China; Member of the National Graphene Association (NGA). Currently Dr Lukin serves as a Principal Research Scientist & Executive Director at the Western-Caucasus Research Center (Tuapse, Russia), Expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow, Russia), Expert of the Expertise Councils of the Russian Science Foundation (Moscow, Russia), Expert of Federal Register of Experts of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the area of Space and Transport Systems (Moscow, Russia), Honorary Fellow and Chair of the Research Sub-committee of the Academic Council of the Australian Institute of High Energetic Materials (Sippy Downs, Australia). Currently Dr Lukin serve as a Project Leader of the International research project: “Development of the Carbon Nano-Materials Genome Approach for Accelerating Discovery of the Advanced Hybridized Functional Materials with Desired Properties: Controllable Synthesis, Experimental Characterization and Modeling by the Data Science Methods”.
Prof. Sabu Thomas

Title: Recent Advances in Nanocellulose for Water Purification
Prof. Sabu Thomas is Director of the International and Interuniversity Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mahatam Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. He was the former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. . Prof. Thomas is an outstanding leader with sustained international acclaims for his work in Nanoscience, Polymer Science and Engineering, Polymer Nanocomposites, Elastomers, Polymer Blends, Interpenetrating Polymer Networks, Polymer Membranes, Green Composites and Nanocomposites, Nanomedicine and Green Nanotechnology. In collaboration with India’s premier tyre company, Apollo Tyres, Professor Thomas’s group invented new high performance barrier rubber nanocomposite membranes for inner tubes and inner liners for tyres. Professor Thomas has received more than 30 national and international awards which include, FRSC, Distinguished Professorship from Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia, MRSI medal,CRSI medal, Distinguished Faculty Award, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Scientific Excellence – 2016,Mahatma Gandhi University- Award for Outstanding Contribution –Nov. 2016, Lifetime Achievement Award of the Malaysian Polymer Group, Sukumar Maithy Award Faculty Research Award, Trila – Academician of The Year, European Academy of Sciences He is in the list of most productive researchers in India and holds a position of No.5. Prof. Thomas has been conferred Honoris Causa (D.Sc) by the University of South Brittany, Lorient, France, Siberian Federal University, Russia and University of Lorraine, Nancy, France, awarded Senior Fulbright Fellowship, National Education Leadership Award – 2017 for Excellence in Education. Prof Thomas also won 6th contest of "mega-grants' ' - Russian Federation. Very recently, Prof. Thomas received the coveted Kailali award from Govt of Kerala. He also received the Chancellor's Trophy for the best University of the state from the Chancellor. Very recently Prof. Thomas has been ranked by Stanford university under 2 percent top leading researchers in the world. Professor Thomas has published over 1400 peer reviewed research papers, reviews and book chapters. He has co-edited 210 books and is the inventor of 16 patents. The H index of Prof. Thomas is 136 and has more than 86,000 citations. Prof. Thomas has delivered over 350 Plenary/Inaugural and Invited lectures in national/international meetings over 30 countries. Prof. Thomas has supervised 120 PhD programmes and his students occupy leading positions in academia and industry in India and abroad.
Prof. Soshu Kirihara

Title: Stereolithographic Additive Manufacturing of Ceramic Components as Smart

Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics as Sustainable Geoengineering” for environmental modifications and resource circulations, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.
